I'm really working to do more posts on my old blog but I am being challenged. The doll pins I recently finished, well, I sold seven of them so I will cut out more tonight. The next project to work on are my six mini witches. Yes, I get to a certain point and nothing gets done. Completed. I'm working on that too. I did pick out fabric for their outfits.
Not a very good pic color wise but I'll work on that too. But you can see the fall color theme I so love. I'm debating on coffee dying a few things. I know I will have to dye their bloomers because they are way too bright. I have also been sketching some new pieces too and forgot to take pics, so that should make me come back either tomorrow or Saturday. Well, time's a ticking. See ya soon.

Recuperating
Didn't mean to neglect my blog but I was crazy busy three weeks before the Krankie's Craft Fair which was last Saturday. It was a good show. The first I've done in several years and I'm so glad I did it. I met new people, some fans showed up and those who followed my blog which was surprising and amazing. I love talking to fans. Things I thought would sell didn't and things I didn't think would sell did. I had a handful of black and white drawings and quite a few of them sold. People really liked them, so guess what I'll be doing in the near future? Making more drawings to sell. I finally did my final tally and I did way better than I thought I did.
Sunday, I did absolutely nothing. I'm not quite 100% recovered but I'm getting there. I started straightening things up and can now see the floor in my apartment and I've cleared off my art table so I can get started on new pieces.
I set up a small holiday setting because once again, I ran out of time to do something really nice. And this won't take long to dismantle once Christmas is over. I'm in planning stages for upcoming projects and I hope you will be as excited as I am when I show them.

Las Amigas Fall Art Show & Sale
Mid last week, a friend emailed me asking if I wanted to participate in her groups art show that was coming up. They were having their last meeting and she thought of me and that I might want to go in with them. Of course I said yes even though it was at the last minute. It was at a home, that was gorgeous. I love it when people take a nothing house and turn it into something special. The weather held out, I met some really nice ladies and have been invited to their next show. I also sold some things.

Commission Complete!
Okay. I had a commission to do 12 voodoo doll pins but looking like a school mascot. Kind of. Mostly the colors of the school and these were a little easy to do because of their mascot. A brother and sister saw me wearing my witch voodoo doll pin and said they liked it. I told them I made it and they asked if I could make some simulating their favorite mascot. I said I'd give it a try. At first he ordered eight but then the number went up to twelve. That seems to happen more than not. Remember the dolls for the movie? I was suppose to do three and ended up doing close to 100.
Anyway, I finished them and the new owners fell in love with them. The brother said that they were more than he expected and that I made his day. His sister said that I made her year. So here we go...
These are the boys. Aren't they handsome?
The top hats for the guys. Some tall, some not.
The boys before the hats.
They each are sporting a pair of spats with bead buttons.
Delbert, Drake, Dustin, and Davis.
Delroy, Dalton, Dilmont, and Devon.
Drew, Dillard, Duncan, and Driscoll. The Demon Voodoo Doll Pins. Also can be hung as ornaments. The scarves were hand crocheted by moi. Some of you may know the school these guys represent. I think they turned out quite well and I'm glad I didn't have time to bond with them because they are so cute.
I hope you enjoyed them too. Now off to catch up on my word count. Toodles!

See ya March!
It's the last day of the bloody month. Although it was saved by two doll sales, still... I don't know what the glitch was. Whether it was the change of the season, time change, the teasing by Mother Nature with early extra warm temperatures, getting sick (again), that super moon... what? I just don't know and it's over. Done. In the books. It's a wrap.
My list, well, we won't go there. Barely scratched it. I got four dolls done this month and that's sad. I did a lot of reading, finished two books. I even got back to writing, working to get into a daily habit of putting pen to paper. Yeah, that's old school but I've been doing it. I completed another quilt block that I've been getting rave compliments on. I made five postcards.
How many new projects did I add not doll related? One. A quilt. Yes, I'm more batty than bats in a well lit attic. A quarter into the year. At least right now I'm laughing. I can't explain why March was a failure. Something went haywire and I feel as if I'm coming off a bad carnival ride with a demented clown sitting next to me. Is that image burned into your brain? Good.
I really, honestly don't know what happened this month. I've neglected so many things. I think when I got one disappointment, and then the next, I started to unravel. It all took me by surprise and I kind of gave up. I think I need to burn some sage in my apartment to get rid of the negative energy. I used to do it on a regular basis and then I stopped. Well, will be getting some more sage tomorrow and have a creative blessing.
I've got nine more months in this year to go. I can still rock it. I know that there will be down times and I have to remember to take care of me. Because I'm important. So....
GOOD BYE MARCH!
